The Scout section is for children aged 10 to 14. Scouts is all about encouraging and developing all our young members in independence, leadership & teamwork skills appropriate to their age and ability.

We run an active and varied programme, based around the six Programme Zones:

  • Scoutcraft & Adventure
  • Global
  • Community
  • Fit For Life
  • Exploring Beliefs & Attitudes
  • Creative Expression

What this means for our members is a fun combination of camping, hiking, watersports, climbing and abseiling, backwoods cooking, expeditions, games, cooking competitions, First Aid, charity events, family camps, orienteering, air rifle shooting, pioneering, archery, craft activities, night hikes, incident hikes, wide games, Group socials – actually anything and everything we can think of as a Troop that fits into at least one of the Programme Zones!

Although the troop has a selection of Warranted helpers and Parent helpers this is all done on a voluntary basis. We welcome, and at times need, extra support from parents if you can occasionally help please come in a speak us.
